The October 2025 Kings Bay MOAA Chapter meeting will be on Tuesday, 21 October at The Club at Osprey Cove. The social hour will start at 5:30 followed by the meeting and dinner at 6:30.

The menu for this meeting is your choice of Lemon Garlic Butter Seared Salmon or Herb Roasted Chicken Breast. Both come with Wild Rice and Asparagus, a side salad, roll and Apple Spiced Cake for dessert.

The cost of the meal is $30 per person. Payment can be made at the door with credit card, cash or check. Dues may also be paid at the door.

 The meeting speaker will be Capt Michael Paisant, Commanding Officer, Trident Refit Facility Kings Bay. 

Captain Michael A. Paisant Commanding Officer – TRIDENT Refit Facility Kings Bay, Georgia

Captain Michael Paisant is a native of New Orleans, LA, and is a graduate of the United States Naval Academy, Class of 2001, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Quantitative Economics.

He later attended the Naval Postgraduate School in Monterey, CA, where he earned a Master of Science degree in Operations Analysis. Captain Paisant is also a graduate of the Joint Forces Staff College and designated as a Joint Specialty Officer.

His first sea tour was aboard USS MAINE (SSBN 741)(GOLD) in Kings Bay, GA, where he completed five strategic deterrent patrols and a homeport shift to Bangor, WA. He also served as the Navigator/Operations Officer aboard USS MONTPELIER (SSN 765) in Norfolk, VA, completing one FIFTH FLEET deployment.

Captain Paisant served as Executive Officer aboard USS GEORGIA (SSGN 729)(GOLD) in Kings Bay, GA, where he completed two deployments to the FIFTH and SIXTH FLEET areas of operation in support of OEF/OIR. This support earned USS GEORGIA the Battle Efficiency “E” award for operational excellence.

He then served as Commanding Officer aboard USS MARYLAND (SSBN 738) (GOLD), homeported in Kings Bay, GA, and completed three strategic deterrent patrols during his tenure.

Captain Paisant served ashore as the Navy Element Executive Officer and Undersea Warfare Officer at the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency in Springfield, VA. Additionally, he served as the Engineer Officer and Tactics Director at Submarine Learning Facility in Norfolk, VA, and then as the Senior Deputy Commander at Submarine Squadron SIXTEEN and Submarine Squadron TWENTY in Kings Bay, GA.

His personal awards include the Legion of Merit, Defense Meritorious Service Medal, Meritorious Service Medal, and several personal, campaign, and unit awards
